Gozzini is a leading company in the tanning machinery industry, historically operating in the area of Santa Croce sull’Arno, the Tuscan hub of leather production, where the culture of “Made in Italy” was born and developed.
OUR STORY
The origins of our company date back to the beginning of the last century. Founded in 1903 by Emilio Gozzini and his son Paolo, it started out as a carpentry workshop for the building of wine barrels and agricultural tools.
At this time in history, tanning is already present in the Country but still retains the shortcomings and limitations of an artisanal activity handed down for generations without adequate technological support, and therefore is struggling to take off; soon, however, the tanning industry sees the creation of the first drums, which improve and accelerate the tanning process, and which Gozzini begins to build.
But it was in 1906 that we realized that this technological innovation could represent work and well-being for the company; thus began the expansion of the workforce that in the years following will lead to the development of the workshop and the growth of the company.
The post-war period, with the growing recovery of productive activities and the transition from vegetable to chrome tanning, requires the design and construction of new machines and Gozzini offers a wide range of products to cover almost all the work phases.
The 60s and their economic boom allow the company to live a particularly flourishing moment, when the commercial structure is strengthened and stores are created in various countries of the world, from North Europe to South America, to the Middle and Far East.
In 1994 the company was taken over by the Turini group, which allowed it to revitalize its activities with a new management.
